The 4th Arab Orthodontic Congress and 14th Egyptian Orthodontic Congress will take place in Cairo, Egypt from Thursday, February 10 to Saturday, February 12, 2000 at the Lotus Ballroom of Sheraton Heliopolis Hotel. This Congress is a joint meeting of the Arab Orthodontic Society (AOS) and the Egyptian Orthodontic Society (EOS).

Congress Secretariat:

The Congress Secretariat will provide a Congress desk to be located at the entrance to the Congress Hall and it will be open on February 9, 2000. The Congress Desk will provide registration and other services to the Congress participants.

Those wishing to attend the Congress should complete the registration form enclosed in the preliminary program. Registration forms are available for download , or by contacting the congress secretariat.

The registration fees for all participant cover:

  1. Access to the Scientific Sessions and Exhibition.
  2. Opening Ceremony & get together welcome reception
  3. Congress Material (Program, Abstract book, Congress name tag, Certificate of attendance, Congress bag, etc.)
  4. Lunch and Coffee-Tea Breaks (10, 11 and 12 February 2000).

Registration on Site:

It will be possible, although not advisable; to register upon arrival at the Sheraton Heliopolis Hotel and to purchase tickets for the social programs, tours, and course – if available. Late registration will be provided at the Congress desk located at the entrance to the Congress Hall, which will be open on February 9, 2000. An administrative fee will be charged for on-site Congress registration.

Letter of invitation

An official letter of invitation to the Congress will be sent upon request. This invitation is intended only to participants’ travel and visa arrangement and it does not imply provision of any financial or other support.


Currency and Cards:

The Egyptian currency is Pound (LE). All major credit cards are accepted at shops, hotels, and restaurants.


Passport & Visa:
A valid passport is required for entry into Egypt. Please check with the nearest Egyptian Consulate in your country regarding visa requirements. We strongly recommend that you settle your visa requirements before you leave your country.

Instructions to Authors:
  1. Participants wishing to contribute to the scientific program of the Congress are kindly requested to submit their abstracts, together with the registration form
  2. Abstracts should be typed in English or Arabic on the abstract form and submitted to the secretariat.
  3. The deadline for submission is November 30, 1999

Congress Exhibition:
A trade exhibition of scientific, instruments, equipments and materials relevant to Orthodontics will be located in the area adjacent to the Congress lecture room. The exhibition opening will take place on Thursday February 10, in the morning and the final day will be Saturday February 12 in the afternoon.
